  7.     How is BONNIE RAITT going to sing about hard luck and
  8. heartbreak now that she's so happy? "You're never without the
  9. memories of being brokenhearted," says Raitt, who paid her dues
  10. with 20 years of road gigging and fast living before recently
  11. settling into a major groove: she copped three Grammys for her
  12. last album, Nick of Time, and capped off a fairy-tale year by
  13. marrying actor Michael O'Keefe in April. Now she has a new
  14. album, Luck of the Draw, and a world tour. But success hasn't
  15. spoiled the suddenly fashionable songstress. "I've learned to
  16. accept what you had to go through in the past to get where you
  17. are right now."
